Spring Time

I don't know about you, but I have been absolutely LOVING this spring weather we've had lately! While it does get a bit warm in the afternoons for my taste, it's beautiful nonetheless!  I'm trying to spend as much time outside as I can before the wrath of Texas summer hits us.  The mornings are cool, and the evenings are breezy, making for perfect picture weather!

I recently photographed my step-sister, Kellie, who will be graduating in May with her Master's in Communication Disorders.  We  had an early morning photo shoot in San Marcos, on and around the Texas State University-San Marcos Campus, and we had a blast! We spent the morning, and a bit of the afternoon, taking photos for her Graduation invitations as well as for my portfolio.  Her photos turned out fabulously, as I knew they would, and I am super excited to see her graduation invitations! They will be the second "publication" of my work, outside of my own portfolio, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing them!

I've been very busy keeping up with all the editing to be done, keeping my house {somewhat} in order, and making sure my kids are clean and fed!  I've been doing a bit of organizing, as well.  I completely re-organized my pantry and medicine cabinet, cleaning out a whole bunch of stuff that was outdated or just doesn't get used, and created a TON of new space for me and my family!  I wish I had the time to re-organize everything, but I simply don't! I think next will be my office supplies and my filing system.  But, of course, all of that comes only after my photography shoots and edits. :D

I'm looking forward to booking some more photo shoots, because I simply love to capture your memories and turn them into beautiful portraits you can decorate your home with.  Photographs of you and your family are the things you will run into your burning home to save because they are so important to you - because they have captured your most treasured memories into still moments that will never change.  Photographs span multiple generations and tell stories, even when no one in the photo is there.  Photographs give our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a glimpse into their history and the world their parents and grandparents came from.  A world that will soon be gone and transformed into something vastly different than what we are living in today.

So I hope you will take a look at my work here, and consider Joyful Noise Family Photography when you are thinking about have some family portraits done (or Senior portraits, engagement portraits, briday portraits, or any other kind of potraits).  I look forward to hearing from you and I can hardly wait to work with you and your family!
