Catching Up
So, it's been a while since my last post! Here are some of my recent photo sessions!
This was a quick session with my beautiful mother-in-law! She needed some headshots for her schooling, and asked me to come over and snap a photo or two - or 30! And of course, Miss Jordan wanted in on the action, too, so I included her in some of the portraits.
These photos were taken at a recent lock-in at Oakwood Baptist Church. It's an annual event called Lockapalooza, and all the middle schoolers get together for a night of worship, sumo wrestling, dodgeball, and midnight to 6 am laser tag! No sleeping is allowed, and there's always TONS of laughter! I was so blessed to have the opportunity to photograph this years' event! I was also exhausted for a week afterwards - my body is just not used to being a night owl anymore!
I have had the best intentions of taking my family out to do family portraits in a field early on a Sunday morning, but have yet to accomplish that. Perhaps I will finally have some energy this Sunday and we can finally get some more recent photos, but only time will tell!

Spring Time
I don't know about you, but I have been absolutely LOVING this spring weather we've had lately! While it does get a bit warm in the afternoons for my taste, it's beautiful nonetheless! I'm trying to spend as much time outside as I can before the wrath of Texas summer hits us. The mornings are cool, and the evenings are breezy, making for perfect picture weather!
I recently photographed my step-sister, Kellie, who will be graduating in May with her Master's in Communication Disorders. We had an early morning photo shoot in San Marcos, on and around the Texas State University-San Marcos Campus, and we had a blast! We spent the morning, and a bit of the afternoon, taking photos for her Graduation invitations as well as for my portfolio. Her photos turned out fabulously, as I knew they would, and I am super excited to see her graduation invitations! They will be the second "publication" of my work, outside of my own portfolio, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing them!
I've been very busy keeping up with all the editing to be done, keeping my house {somewhat} in order, and making sure my kids are clean and fed! I've been doing a bit of organizing, as well. I completely re-organized my pantry and medicine cabinet, cleaning out a whole bunch of stuff that was outdated or just doesn't get used, and created a TON of new space for me and my family! I wish I had the time to re-organize everything, but I simply don't! I think next will be my office supplies and my filing system. But, of course, all of that comes only after my photography shoots and edits. :D
I'm looking forward to booking some more photo shoots, because I simply love to capture your memories and turn them into beautiful portraits you can decorate your home with. Photographs of you and your family are the things you will run into your burning home to save because they are so important to you - because they have captured your most treasured memories into still moments that will never change. Photographs span multiple generations and tell stories, even when no one in the photo is there. Photographs give our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a glimpse into their history and the world their parents and grandparents came from. A world that will soon be gone and transformed into something vastly different than what we are living in today.
So I hope you will take a look at my work here, and consider Joyful Noise Family Photography when you are thinking about have some family portraits done (or Senior portraits, engagement portraits, briday portraits, or any other kind of potraits). I look forward to hearing from you and I can hardly wait to work with you and your family!

What is "Family Photography"?
So,
what exactly is “Family Photography”?
Many of you hear that phrase and immediately envision a mom and a dad,
together with a couple of small children in a stiff, unnatural pose with an
old, outdated backdrop behind them.
Fortunately, that’s not the kind of photography we offer at Joyful
Noise!
To
us, Family Photography is more than just the entire family together for a few
photos. Joyful Noise Family Photography is
about capturing your families’ most memorable moments – whether that’s
altogether as a family, or individually, or in the form of Senior Portraits for
your son or daughter, or with the family pet (whom we all know is your favorite
child, if for no other reason than the simple fact that it doesn’t talk back to
you.) Maybe it’s an engagement session
for you and your husband-to-be or bridal portraits to be displayed at your
wedding. Perhaps it’s portraits of the
newest member of your growing family, just weeks after being born. It could be a celebration of your grandmother’s
life & legacy in the form of 4 generations of ladies together for a long
needed photo shoot. Family photography
at Joyful Noise is customized to suit your needs! If your son is a member of a local band, or
if you daughter is an aspiring model; if you want to have some more photos of
your grandfather before you no longer can; if you want to celebrate your child’s
graduation, or if you want to celebrate the birth of your first (or last) child
- Joyful Noise Family Photography is for you.
No matter the occasion, if you are a part of a family, then Joyful Noise
Photography can help you capture your life in photos.
Before
contacting me, I would ask that you take a look at my work to ensure that you
like my style of photography. If you don’t
like my style, please know that you are less likely to enjoy the photos I take
of you and your family. If you truly
want to love your photos, I would encourage you to look for a photographer whose
style more closely matches yours.
On
the other hand, if you truly like my photography, please contact me to set up a
consultation! We can customize your photography package to suit your
needs! We offer a wide-range of
photography services at affordable rates, as well as photo products – prints,
gallery wraps, photo albums, collages, and more!

Edits & Others
I have finally finished lightly editing all the beautiful pictures from last Saturday's Boudoir Day! I have gotten them all uploaded to each ladies respective proofing gallery, and I now get to sit down and relax while I wait for the ladies to pick which 10 photos they would like to purchase! I do not envy them, though! All of their photos came out so wonderfully, it is going to be very difficult for them to pick just 10 images! Which is why I offer additional images for just $5 each!
Plus, I offer professional quality prints, photo books, cards, calendars, gallery wraps, and even framed prints! This way, the ladies don't have to take their images to walmart to print them, and have everyone and their dog look over their shoulder to see them! This way, their images are kept private, just for that special someone, and they get professional quality prints, versus the wal-mart version of professional prints.
So, while I wait for each lady to choose her photos, I am going to put together an Easter special, and maybe do a few FREE PHOTO SHOOTS! I'm also going to put together some marketing materials and get a bit more organized! I might even do some spring cleaning!
Be sure to contact me for your next set of Family Photo's or to get some great pics of the kids (or grandkids)! Remember, I'll come to you!

Boudoir Day 3/3/12
Boudoir Day 2012 was a massive SUCCESS!!! I photographed 8 lovely ladies today, and had a complete blast while doing it!! This has to be one of the most satisfying photo shoots I have ever had the pleasure to take part in!
I have about 800 photos to go through and edit before posting them to a private gallery for each participant, so, needless to say, I have my work cut out for me. But honestly, I am looking forward to editing these pictures and making them into pieces of art!
Many people have asked if I plan on doing another shoot like this, and the answer is: YES! The next shoot, however, will not boast the same low price as this one did, but it will still have a lower price than most boudoir photographers in the area. As soon as I have enough people interested in this type of Boudoir Day photo shoot, I will set a date and begin scheduling ladies for participation! So, if you're interested, you NEED to contact me ASAP! You can email me (joyfulnoisephoto@att.net), call or text (830-305-2115), or message me on Facebook (www.facebook.com/joyfulnoisephotography).
Boudoir Photo's are not the only thing I shoot, either! I can photograph just about anything - Families, Kids, Babies, Bands, Seniors, Couples, Bridal Portraits, Weddings, and More! If you're looking for an affordable, yet reliable photographer, look no further! I would love to sit down with you for a consultation to put some ideas together to suit your photography needs! Please feel free to contact me at your convenience to schedule your free consultation!

Welcome!
Welcome to the Joyful Noise Family Photography blog! Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my artwork.
A little about me:
My name is Dina, I am 25, I am happily married, have 2 children, and have many interests, one of which, if photography! I am a Christian, and the first place I like to look for answers is in my Bible. I have found that my life makes more sense, and is much less stressful and worrisome when I lean on Jesus for strength and peace, rather than leaning on things of the world. I believe that Jesus is for everyone, but I do not believe in pushing him down anyone's throat. I believe that my life should be enough of an example to others that I shouldn't have to push Jesus onto anyone; that others would see my life and ask about what's different.
About Joyful Noise Family Photography
I offer a wide-range of on-location photography services, from High School Seniors to newborns; from recently engaged couples to weddings; from families to bands, and much more! I enjoy capturing people in their most natural settings. I prefer to capture memories as they happen, rather than having people "pose" for their pictures. Those posed pictures tend to look unnatural and stiff. My photography style is ever-changing as I learn about new techniques and brainstorm new ideas. I will always aim to capture you and your families personalities in each and every photo I take!
Below, I have added a few of my photos from various sessions for you to get an idea about my style! Please let me know what you think! If you like the photos, leave a comment for me, and then be sure to "like" my Facebook page!
Thanks again for stopping by!!!
